Each Little Herd Session lasts approximately 20 minutes. This allows plenty of time to create beautiful images while keeping the experience relaxed and enjoyable, especially for young children.

Yes. Your family's safety is our highest priority.
A professional Highland calf handler is present throughout every session, and all interactions are carefully supervised. The calves are selected for their calm, gentle temperament, but because they are live animals, everyone is expected to follow the handler's instructions at all times.

Yes. Children are welcome to gently pet and interact with the calves under the guidance of the professional handler. Every interaction is based on the comfort of both the child and the animal.

Little Herd Sessions are especially popular for babies who can sit independently, toddlers, young children, and families with older siblings. Every child is different, and we'll work at their pace throughout the session.

That's completely okay.
Many children need a few minutes to warm up to a new environment. Little Herd Sessions are intentionally relaxed and child-led, giving children the freedom to explore naturally rather than forcing smiles or poses.

After booking, you'll receive a style guide with wardrobe inspiration and tips to help you coordinate your family's outfits.

The safety of your family, the animals, and everyone involved always comes first.
If weather conditions are unsafe or the calf is unavailable due to illness or other unforeseen circumstances, your session will be rescheduled.

Your online gallery will be delivered within approximately 2 to 3 weeks of your session.
You'll receive instructions for downloading your included images, purchasing additional images, ordering prints, or upgrading to your full gallery.

Yes.
Your session includes 15 edited digital images.
Additional digital images are available for $25 each, or you may upgrade to your complete gallery for $100.
Most galleries include approximately 20 to 30 edited images

Museum-quality fine art prints and other heirloom products are available directly through your online gallery.

I'll personally send available session dates, and once you've selected a date, you'll receive your booking agreement, invoice, and welcome guide.

Full payment is required to reserve your session.
Because each Little Herd Session requires coordinating with a professional Highland calf handler, your date is confirmed only after your signed agreement and payment have been received.

Session fees are non-refundable.
If you need to reschedule, please contact me as soon as possible. Whenever possible, I'll gladly work with you to find a new available date in accordance with the session policies.

Yes.
Milk & Meadow carries business liability insurance, and every session is conducted with a professional animal handler present to ensure a safe experience for both families and the calves.
